The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie two Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render companies on the community.

SASSA might be rendering services like new social grant applications, change of payment method, client treatment enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency mentioned it's alarmed about the significant range of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The purpose of the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the significant range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is often a result of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no thoroughly functional office devoted to service the area regularly. The service point created for intervention encounters a high influx of opportunity beneficiaries, that makes it difficult with the office to attend to all people who stop by a service point.

“In this sassa status reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more methods to enable the servicing of all prospects and increase entry to Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
